G Festival 14 – Football Tournament – U6 Report

On Sunday May 3rd St Andrews FC U6’s entered 3 teams into the football tournament of the G-Festival, a fund raising festival for thecharity, Georgia’s Children Of The World!

The Lions, Jaguars and Leopards battled well against other U6 teams from Monton, Reddish Vulcans, Moorside and Barr Hill. For some the boys it was their first taste of tournament football, and 4 hours of football certainly seemed to be enjoyed by all those who participated.

All the teams battled well, and some excellent results were achieved, and the teams took away areas to improve as we continue our preparations to begin our first season in a league structure this September. Parents also seem to be learning, with many coming well prepared with fold away chairs, picnics and beverages!
All in all a good day was had by all
